The idea of having to get to the airport early and stand around in long lines at airline check-in counters only to be assigned the worst possible seat on the aircraft has never quite appealed to us–it’s just one of those things that makes flying less pleasant than it could be. We think most people would prefer to avoid the lines, pick their seats in advance and take advantage of being able to get to the airport a little bit later than the usual two to three hours in advance.

With that in mind, we’ve just made it easy for you to check-in online for all your domestic flight bookings made with us. To check-in online for your flight, just sign into your Cleartrip Account within 48 hours of your departure time and click on the trip for which you want to check-in. On the right side of the trip details page, you’ll see the new links for online check-in.

Clicking the online check-in link allows you to check-in online, select your seat and print your boarding pass directly with the airline’s system. Make sure you have a printer handy when you do this so that you can print out your boarding pass.

Most airlines today allow you to print your boarding pass online, just like your e-ticket. Online check-in is usually permitted within 48 hours of departure. Each airline has restrictions around online check-in–infants, check-in baggage etc. So, if you’re planning to check-in online, make sure you check out the airline’s rules and restrictions.
