Behind the Screens

Six years ago, we launched Cleartrip based on the premise that your online booking experience with us should be so flawless, that you never have to call, email or meet us. Over time, we got so wrapped with creating the perfect travel buying interface that the sweet irony around it skipped us all.

Think about it. Have you ever met the team that designs our interface or builds our products? Do you know who cracks those flight & hotel deals? Will it matter who recruits them, or who manages their finances? It’s almost how a photographer lets his picture do the talking. Or an author lets her literature speak.

But when we made this short 2-minute AV about Life at Cleartrip as part of our entry kit for the 2012 Great Places to Work awards, we couldn’t resist sharing it with you. Considering you almost never to get to interact with any of us at all, we thought it’d be nice to give you a sneak peek into our world.

As you can see, Cleartrippers come in all shapes and sizes. We have our share of experts, stalwarts and novices. From geeks to business freaks, mad-caps to old-hats, experimentals to usuals, beauties on duties to brash and bold, our family has them all. We come together each day to fulfil the one promise we make to our customers – to build great products which deliver the best experiences in travel.

Perhaps it’s not as surprising that Cleartrip featured in the Top 10 Companies To Work For in the upto 1000 employees category, made it to the Top 3 Professional Services Companies category and was listed in the Top 50 Companies To Work For in the Overall Company Rankings category at these awards. Incidentally, this video was also selected and showcased at the Gala Awards’ Nite as one of Top 5 video entries from amongst the 90 that were received.

This is what our world looks like on the other side of your screens. Where real people, real madness and the real magic resides. We hope you feel the magic too.

Special thanks to Kedar Nimkar for conceptualizing and shooting and Nayela Mulla for facilitating, shooting, directing and editing this video.
