When you’re looking for a hotel, the locality or the vicinity of your stay is an important decision point. Especially with a new city, one that has a wide number of attractions and activities – this decision is even more daunting, as access to those specials is a prime reason to choose a particular location.
Hence it’s important for a user to get a holistic view of a city, especially when it comes to sightseeing, things to do, wildlife, and more – before making a decision on where to stay.
If you’re nodding your head as you read this, you’re in for a treat! Our new feature is designed to address this very problem – to help you understand the geography of the city better. It helps users match the locality or neighbourhood to the city’s highlights – must-do activities, must-see landmarks, places of interest and more. With this map, a user has a visual guide at hand to help narrow down on where to stay.
We fondly call it – Lay of the land.
Lay of the land is a phrase that denotes how something is organized. In the literal sense, it is the arrangement of features upon the land.
Here’s how you can give it a try:
Go to cleartrip.com/hotels and search for Goa as a destination. And behold – Lay of the land!
We believe while giving absolute locality options are great for users, layering them with why to choose them is a better paradigm. Help users find what they love to do – be it being close to wildlife, happening night clubs, markets and bazaars, or beaches even. Finding the right beach is not as easy as it seems – one look at our map and you’ll see it for yourself! Let Cleartrip help you make your travel simple.
What’s next for us?
We’ve received an encouraging response from the users till now – users are engaging with it and spending time over the modal. We are working on scaling this to more cities and embedding it seamlessly with the hotel search experience.
